The family-owned distillate manufacturing company is located in the heart of the old centre of Arnsberg, in a house built in 1609 after a major fire, where the Arnsberg town school used to be, naturally - as was usual at that time - for boys only. The house, located directly next to the bell tower, the symbol of the town of Arnsberg, and the old town centre chapel of St. Georg, is now a listed building, and was lovingly restored in 2010 and 2011.
The “distillate” in the “Arnsberger Juniperus” is a composition of numerous herbs. These have a well-known, positive effect in cases of prostate problems. The distillate is produced using alcohol or water vapour distillation.
In order to ensure that its effect takes hold quickly, we use high-quality juniper spirits in the best gin quality as a medium, so that a more rapid impact occurs as a result of the 36.5% VOL alcohol content.
Paulino’s Bistro: In the listed building Hanstein 4, from 1609, the former Arnsberg boys’ school, the newly opened restaurant “Paulino’s in der Art eines Bistros” was established in March 2012. In Paulino’s, guests are offered high-class cuisine with excellent drinks and dishes that are always low-cost, selected, traditional and healthy.
In Paulino’s, guests have the choice between a small number of standing and seating places, where they can enjoy their food and snacks, alongside the selected drinks, which are often the restaurant’s own, and freshly tapped Veltins beer.
Paulino’s also offers a party organisation service in the carefully and tastefully furnished rooms of the production areas, social events such as weddings, birthdays, communions, confirmations, and company parties; in other words, parties of all kinds up to a maximum of 40 guests. During the autumn and winter, guests like to sit in front of the open fire with a glass of hot punch or hot plum schnapps from the shiny samovar with cream, or they simply enjoy the open fire with a small terrine of fragrant cassoulet, a fish soup or a stew, depending on what is on offer that day. Does that sound like something for you? Guests at Paulino’s have the special opportunity of exploring ways of producing perfume, cosmetics, oil, schnapps and liqueur in the manufactories next door during a short guided tour or in a special one- to two-hour seminar for a small fee (depending on the seminar).
