Bis zum Parkplatz "Stryck" verläuft der Trail parallel mit der NW 3. Dort überquert er die Bundesstraße (bitte Vorsicht!) und führt hinunter in Aartal. Über freie Flur und auf Waldwegen führt er bis oberhalb von Schwalefeld. Hier biegt der Trail dann scharf links ab und führt über den Iberg, vorbei am Ehrenmal und der Orenbergschanze zurück nach Willingen.
